12/10/2008@11:40 EST: The station is currently down for updates to the 128kbps format and many more tracks!
Things should be back up in about an hour!
12/11/2008@12:35 EST: Scratch that, I didn’t do sound leveling so the first 100 that I uploaded I had to remove and run leveling on all of them. So we’re looking at probably another hour.
12/11/2008@01:35 EST: Back up! Still loading some tracks but about 200 are uploaded and going! Give me feedback on the new selections and quality! You may hear some songs in duplicate together, this is until all are uploaded and I can create some lists.
Thanks again for listening!!

As I said, I’m working on getting the station converted to 128kbps and a larger selection of songs. I’ve made it past hurdle one, going through about 4,500 songs!! Whew!
I’m working on doing the conversions and adding some new promos (thanks again to RadioResearcher from Radio Vietnam!!) this week. Not much to report but I wanted to throw out an update since I said I was moving things around a bit.
It’s going to be the same diverse music from R&B to Country to Rock to Traditional music but more of it.
Thanks for listening and I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

While doing more searches for Christmas related material, I came across the home of the North Pole! There’s lots to do at the site for parents, kids and teachers. The site has stories that children can read or have read to them. You can visit different parts of Santa’s entire village such as The Workshop, Santa’s Den, Toy Shop, Mail Room (where you can write to Santa), Clubhouse, Reindeer Barn, Kitchen, Elf Pal Academy and Weather Station.
So while you’re trying to wrap presents this year, send the kids over to the North Pole to keep them busy for a while.
To another year of The Sounds of Christmas! Be sure to make requests of what you’d like to hear. I am working on converting everything to 128kbps and getting a lot more songs up this year than last year.
