One of the things that I really wanted to use this station for is helping less fortunate children and helping out our (US) troops with care packages. A local (Columbus, Ohio) charity is Shoebox for a Solider! This is the kind of thing I started Radio Vietnam for and my patriotism and love for our soldiers continues with this charity and through any age of soldiers that have served our country. Take a look at this site and if you have a little extra cash or something they could use, help out our troops.

I wanted to thank everyone who’s been tuning in to the station and it’s already exceeding my expectations at the beginning of November!
Since it’s not a long post, I thought I’d toss in a picture around my house as well. Here’s a picture of Havoc (my mom’s dog) opening his presents! Not sure how he learned but since he was a puppy (he’s now 10), he’s always known which presents are his even with a full tree and with no help he opens them and immediately goes right back under the tree for the next one (just like a kid!!
). OK, he’s been wrong on 1 or 2 occasions (mostly when he’s ran out of his own) and it’s the kids presents that he finds!
I’m going to have to get a video of it this year.
I’m hoping that he’ll teach Chaos how to do it this year! Chaos watched on last year and Havoc helped out the pup with his!

I have a diverse amount of songs that I really enjoy for Christmas! Josh Groban’s “O Holy Night” is my inspirational track (then again there are a lot of wonderful versions of O Holy Night) but Josh’s version kind of rattles the soul with his vocals. I can’t forget my favorite crooner and one of my favorite artists, Dean Martin and “Baby, It’s Cold Outside“, since I was young I’ve always loved Dean’s voice.
My favorite comedy track has to be Bob River’s “The Twelve Pains of Christmas“, I don’t think there’s a time that I haven’t laughed hearing that song! “WHAT, WE HAVE NO EXTENSION CORDS“, “NOW WHY THE HELL ARE THEY BLINKING“, “ONE LIGHT GOES OUT, THEY ALL GO OUT!“, etc!! I think it kind of reminds me of my father and me with our attitude towards things not working right!

I think I’ve settled on an engine (WordPress) and theme for the site!
This should be the last major update to the look of the site. I’ll set up some forms this weekend for requests and we’ll be set!! If you’re not listening while reading this, why not!?!
